9th Grade School Visit

We had the pleasure to welcome the class of 9th grade students at our DHE location.

DISCO for students

At 20th of July 2017 we arranged a school trip to DHE for 36 pupils of the 9th grade of the Robert-Koch-Gymnasium of natural science in Deggendorf a town in lower Bavaria Mr. Schwarz, the physics teacher who set up the trip, appreciates the early encouragement of pupils in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects. That’s why he and DHE thought it would be a good idea to show the students future possible fields of work and display the production of microelectronics. After a welcoming speech by Dietmar, Manager of Application and Dicing-Grinding-Service, the students could attend a clean room tour performed by our processing application engineer Milorad. Milorad explained the conditions of the clean room, some of our machines and processes of Dicing-Grinding-Service. The remaining students were showed some interesting samples, like Hasen-Cut-wafer, TAIKO-wafer and silicon substrate. We also had a little presentation about DISCO history and the fields we are operating in. The students were very interested in our technologies and in the end the trip was a success for both the students and DHE. Mr. Schwarz considers a trip with the next 9th grade.

DHE is pleased to promote education initiatives and get in touch with young students to show them our technologies and working area.
